Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ) is proud to announce the winners of the Bay of Plenty and Coromandel Awards of Excellence. Held on 20 July at the Papamoa Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC), the awards acknowledged the incredible skills, commitment, and effort by surf lifeguards, as well as those who educated others, managed administration, and participated in lifesaving sport throughout the 2023/2024 season.

A successful night for team Tairua at Eastern Region Awards of Excellence last Saturday! An awesome evening celebrating the successes of our members over the last season.

*Gabriella Hughes won Coromandel Instructor of Year (not pictured)

*Tairua SLSC was also awarded Patrol Club of the Year for 2024 AND

*Tairua SLSC was awarded Innovation of the Year for our innovative programme providing Tairua Community with access to swimming lessons while SH25 was closed.

Congratulations to our Tairua clubbies and to the other award winners from the evening. The club is so proud to have your dedication and contribution celebrated at a Regional level. Thanks ER staff for an epic night - we are already looking forward to next year!
